Description
Pandora is a two-owner German-engineered Hanse 470e (Epoxy) production yacht launched in 2008 and in current ownership since 2016. The experienced owners (husband and wife) purchased the yacht from its original owner in the Caribbean and cruised to New Zealand over a number of years.
The yacht is best described as a performance cruiser with a 2.1m lead ballast keel and high aspect sail plan providing excellent light weather and windward performance. The sailing systems are simple, robust and fit for purpose. She is fitted with an electric main halyard winch, self-tacking jib, removable inner forestay and conventional slab reefing with the option for single line reefing.
During her current ownership the owners have replaced or upgraded many of the yachts systems including the Yanmar diesel, 5KVA diesel generator, standing rigging, instruments and exterior canvas including dodger and bimini.
A striking yacht with custom dark Anthracite 3M vinyl topsides wrap, fold down boarding platform and expansive twin-wheel cockpit, Pandora is a much-admired ocean cruising yacht. The inventory is extensive and would go very close to Offshore Category 1 with a generous selection of equipment and spares in keeping with her offshore history.
Below decks is light and airy and beautifully finished in American cherry and boasts a master suite forward with island double and private en-suite and two large aft double cabins with a second day head and shower.
The vendors are now pursuing other opportunities and are keen to hand over the wheel to like-minded cruisers and will assist as they can in a full and complete handover.
