Description
Prof built in Corten steel and launched in 1997, the Samoa 47 is recognised the world over as one of Van De Stadt's best designs and a very serious blue-water passage maker.Tequila II has just returned from a lap around the Pacific and has everything onboard to go again at a moment's notice. This is a solid, practical and great looking go-anywhere yacht with a 7/8ths fractional rig with optional stay'sl. The systems are simple, robust and proven.
The yacht was repowered in 2012 with a Beta Marine 75HP diesel showing 2050 hours. All standing rigging was replaced in 2021. The interior is light and open with sensible galley, a large saloon with comfortable seating for six, two aft cabins - one with a double and the other with twin singles and a very generous master cabin with island style double and ample stowage.
The hard dodger provides excellent all-weather protection and the sailing hardware is solid and fit for purpose. If your cruising aspirations demand a yacht that will cope with the worst then Tequila II should be on your shortlist.
