The Cruiser 37 - nominated for European award!

BAVARIA is proud to announce the nomination of the new CRUISER 37 for the “European Yacht of the Year Award 2014” in the category “Family Cruiser”.

It’s only just been launched and yet the CRUISER 37 has already been nominated for the most prestigious award in the yachting and water sports industry. Every year, representatives from Europe’s top eleven sailing magazines select their candidates for the respective categories of the European Yacht of the Year Award.

The CRUISER 37 has been shortlisted along with five other yachts in the category “Family Cruiser”. BAVARIA is proud to receive this nomination, which recognises the good work done by the yard and its partners to improve the new CRUISER range.

Testing for the European Yacht of the Year Award is going to take place in either Southampton or La Spezia this autumn. The winners will be announced at “boot 2014” in Düsseldorf.

Proudly presenting the Cruiser 37 & Cruiser 41

Cruiser 37 smallThere’s been some big changes happening in the Bavaria factory in Germany. Last year Bavaria announced two new models the Cruiser 56 and Cruiser 33 which replaced previous models, the 55 and 32 respectively, and they have just released the first details of the next two sizes to be re-modelled. The 36 is to become the Cruiser 37 and the 40 the Cruiser 41.
Highlights for the Cruiser 37 include additional coachroof windows, large panorama windows, a new deck design and the largest bathing platform on the market. The new deck design creates a more spacious atmosphere and benefits from a longer foredeck. This means that the new Cruiser 37 can easily accommodate up to six. The generous cockpit area with cockpit table has seating for all crew members and still allows plenty of freedom of movement for manoeuvres. In addition, the new twin wheel steering enables easy access to the bathing platform, whilst still providing all-round visibility for the skipper. Additional highlights include the new wedge-shaped cockpit table with greater legroom and the optional drinks holders and detachable lamp.
Below deck the Cruiser 37 has plenty to shout about. The spacious saloon has a new storage concept for optimal organisation of life on board with multiple crew members. The new panorama windows allow plenty of light into the interior and together with the new coachroof windows help create a sense of greater spaciousness. The high-quality furnishings come in three different colours with a range of upholstery options.
In addition, the easy-care, high-quality fabric panels above and around the beds create a warm and comfortable atmosphere.
Thanks to its improved cabin design, the Cruiser 37 provides additional space in the forward cabin for a wider double bed and increased standing height in the aft cabin. Moreover, the whole interior has been adapted to fit the new design concept. There is also a greater amount of space in the galley for budding masterchefs. And the extended kitchen unit easily accepts a double sink and still provides plenty of storage area. Read more about the all new Cruiser 37.

Cruiser 41 smallFollowing hot on the heels of the 37 the Cruiser 41 is the Giebelstadt shipyard’s latest model from its new and completely overhauled collection. Key features include a new deck design, generous interior and much more besides. The Cruiser 41 delivers freedom, luxury and outstanding sailing performance for circumnavigators and sailing families alike.
The new, clean deck design features elegant lines and greater standing room in the forward cabin – all details that promote greater comfort and relaxation. At the stern, the roomy cockpit area has geometrically arranged seating areas, to ensure optimal comfort for all crew members. In addition, the twin wheel steering provides superb handling and all-round visibility for the skipper.
On deck, further intelligent design features include the flexible cockpit table with integrated and clearly-visible chart plotter, handrails and drinks holders to make every trip a pleasant affair.
Large, easily-accessible lockers and additional storage space under the cockpit floor also provide plenty of room for equipment.
Below deck, the Cruiser 41 is all about luxurious comfort and generous amounts of space. Her optimised hatches and the large side coachroof windows, which have already proved so popular on other Cruiser yachts, allow a maximum amount of light into the interior, making the living quarters even more comfortable. A further characteristic of the new Cruiser line are the rounded edges throughout the interior.
The new styling gives the interior a luxurious, yet modern feel whilst the new-layout gives generous and comfortable cabins to ensure optimal relaxation for the whole crew.
There are intelligent design solutions below deck too, such as the folding salon table or adjustable seating for dining with larger numbers, while the fixed chart table has additional shelf space and storage area to ensure that plotting next day’s course remains a comfortable affair.
The forward cabin now also features a larger bed for additional space and a more relaxing night’s sleep.  Read more about the Cruiser 41 here.

Welcome to the Vision 42

Following the successful premiere of the VISION 46, BAVARIA presents the latest addition to the new VISION line. The new VISION 42, Vision 42 smallwhich benefits from the same features and innovations as its big sister, was premiered at the Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes in September.

Bill Rutherford owner of Busfield Marine, thinks that the Vision 46 and this new model the Vision 42 set a new standard in the owner’s cruiser category, with a focus on high-end elegance, comfort and easy handling. “The new Vision Series offers features that were, until now, only seen on mega yachts,” he says, “Their unique cockpit design with offset companionway allows for a large port cockpit table that can be electrically lowered and converted to a day/lounging bed – truly versatile and stylish, and not yet seen in another production cruiser class.” The optional push button self tacking system makes single and short-handed sailing a pleasure. Additionally, Bavaria’s docking system employs drop-down bow and stern thrusters, coordinated with the main engine for complete control and accuracy in tight quarters.
Below deck, a generous lounge area affords additional comfort. Two comfortable cabins and intelligent interior organisation make the Vision 42 a luxury cruiser yacht. It has high-quality, functional furnishings throughout and can sleep up to six persons.
The Vision 42s many unique handling features and elegant interiors combine with Farr Yacht Design engineering for fast and comfortable passages. What is striking about this yacht is the attention to detail along with the premium build quality and finish found in all Bavaria Yachts. All combined, the Vision 42 is a stunning boat that is sure to draw attention wherever she drops her hook. She’s the perfect yacht for owners with high expectations. Read more

Bavaria Vision 46 - Cruising World’s 2013 Boat of the YearVision 46 profile 2 1 1

Cruising World magazine recently announced that the Vision 46 has earned the magazine’s 2013 Boat of the Year Award. The all new 46 caught the eye of the judges because it "more than met its stated objective (of being) the ultimate ‘couple’s’ cruiser, easy to sail and operate and possessing lavish appointments and accoutrements.” ‘It felt right’, said Alvah Simon.”Above and below deck, the Vision design was borne out of extensive rounds of interviews with hundreds of real cruising sailors, and its thoughtfulness shows in every detail. Add to this the performance of a Farr Yacht Design, German-engineering, high end Bavaria quality construction, plus fit and finish akin to custom-built vessels, all at an affordable price point, and it’s easy to see why one of Cruising World’s consumer “secret shoppers” raved, “This is a superb boat - my full-sized cruiser of the year.”   Read More
