Busfield Marine's success and relationship with Bavaria has now been rewarded, as Bavaria has appointed them as agents for the Power Boat range in New Zealand.
Most Kiwi sailors are familiar with Bavaria Yachts and their reputation as solidly built cruisers, built at the Giebelstadt, factory in Germany. This Bavaria yard is arguably the most high tech, sophisticated boat building facility in the world. Busfield Marine is confident the Bavaria Launches, like the sail boats, will find their niche in the New Zealand. Although unknown here, the Bavaria power boat range is well established internationally and is now very popular in Australia, and this trend is now expected to continue in New Zealand.
Bavaria have always worked with key manufacturers to provide the best equipment on its boats and do not make false economies by using cheap components. This is very evident when walking around the boats where you will see abundant use of real solid woods (indeed, you can see sliced trees in the wood store) in its joinery and main manufacturer equipment such as: Lewmar deck equipment, Jefa steering systems, Volvo engines, Garmin electronics etc.
The motorboats are also easy to handle for they are not easily blown about by the wind, have wide and safe side decks and are equipped with powerful bow thrusters and optional joystick control systems.
The range covers models from the Sport 29 to the Sport 44 Hardtop. The latest model, the Virtress 420 has just recently won the MOTOR BOAT OF THE YEAR AWARD 2013, for Flybridge yachts up to 55Ft.
